Humanity has hobbled me; warned then ignored, 2030, sooner, 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit, above per-industrial averages, technology exceeded man’s capacity to rein in Mother Nature as Father time watched.
We need not worry, given time, they will return, promises made, next time, “we will do better.”
Remnants of their glory, abandoned, laid waste, what was, what could have been now crushed by arrogance fading on worn pages, flaking away infected codes consumed man and technology, both succumb to human created viruses.
Breath deep, the air filtered by time, skies blue, quiet. A millennium or two regeneration.
From water, humankind will return.
