Miss Betty Maynard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Maynard, of Wellsboro RD 3, has joined the staff of the First National Bank of Wellsboro. She graduated in May from the high school where she took a commercial course. Miss Maynard is a member of the National Honor Society. (Star-Gazette, August 5, 1943)
