I’m walking down the corridor of time
Seeing what there is to see
Doing what there is to do
Alone.
I’m going to the party down the block
Eating what there is to eat
Drinking what there is to drink
Alone.
I’m shuffling down the country lane
Looking at the colored leaves
Stepping over the fallen twigs
Alone.
I’m going to church every week
Singing their religious songs
Joining in their rituals but I’m still
Alone.
I’m sitting in my room crying because
We used to do these things together
But now the one I love is gone and I’m
Alone.
