I imagine that under a bed, where dust bunnies hangout, or in the bottom drawer of an aging dresser, or possibly in the top of the closet beyond reach you will find a “cigar box.”
In this box you will find mementos, aging photographs, and recorded liaisons never expressed. A missive from a family member now long gone expressing a secret, hidden.
Voices now silenced by time that could have enriched a life, informed a child, expressed regrets, healed a broken heart.
My encouragement, find your own “cigar box,” fill it with mementos, photos, notes, a thumb drive. Me? keithemaynard.com
