Lester, age 89, of Gillett, Pa., passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Towanda Memorial Skill Nursing Facility in Towanda, Pa. Lester was born on May 11, 1927 in Gillett, son of the late Cola and Mae (Wright) Maynard.

Lester was also predeceased by his wife, Bertha, in 2012,

Lester retired as a truck driver for Cargill in Big Flats,. Pa.

Lester is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Lloyd) Hite of Canton, Pa.; sons, the Rev. Donald (Edith) Maynard of Canisteo, NY, Melvin (Norreen) Maynard of Simpsonville, S.C,. and Bruce (Rebecca Weaton) Maynard of Gillett, Pa.; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn Maynard of Gillett, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
