I’ve given up giving advice. I’ll give an opinion with the following disclaimer: at best the results are 50-50; you will agree or disagree, it will be right or it will be wrong, you will follow it or you will ignore it.
Let me share my grandparents (Thomas) and parents’ advice until they didn’t.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray.”
Any questions? I have some.
Proverbs 13:24 “Those who spares the rod hate their children, but those who loves them are diligent to discipline them.”
Any questions? I have some.
Ephesians 6:1-4 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother,” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
Any questions? I have some.
Proverbs 29:17 “Discipline your children, and they will give you rest; they will give delight to your heart.”
Any questions? I have some.
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
Any questions? I have some.
Psalm 103:13 “As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
Any questions? I have some.
