No.
Had a few friends in New York, and then, when we snuck off to Arizona, left them all behind. Arrived in Arizona as a High School Junior hoping for a personality makeover.
Classmates were more like acquaintances.
Some would say, to my dismay, I was an introvert, others he is introspective, others still others declared me socially inept, genetic predisposition, it’s just who he is.
As I look back in life would assert, “religiously abused.” Sounds harsh, indeed. I submit for your consideration Proverbs 22:6.
My mother once shared that a ‘leading’ cause of mental health issues results from religion indoctrination. Guilt.
Are you still friends with any of my classmates from high school? No.
Are you still friends with any of my classmates from college years? No.
Are you still friends with any of my coworkers? Does Facebook count?
I have once again digressed.
We are all moving through time, and time waits for nobody.
Thoughts of past life occasonally appear to mind. Modern telephone access provides opportunities to reach out at little or no cost. Oh, and I did. Sadly wish that I hadn't bothered.. No rejoicings. "Arnell?" -- "Arnell speaking." -- "This is your old friend Robert from college. Remember me?" <CLICK!> Not interested. Sometimes the smirk response. Oh, and thank you anyway. Have a good life. Adios. No hasta. Just adios. No more reaching out. And time rolls on.
Well thought and written, my dear friend.
