Maynard & Robinson Reunion 1955

Family Reunion 1955

Stepping back a year, we find a large gathering of participants. Here we have the 29th reunion held, again, in Elmira at Eldridge Park. As we continue, the research will show that the 3rd Saturday is the traditional time for this yearly event.

Officers selected to serve in 1955 included President Richard Maynard (not found on the attendance log), VP Scott Maynard (present), and Sec. & Treas. Joanna Ashley (present).

Starting at the top, the first recognizable name (for me) is Melvin [Charles] Maynard, who may or may not be a 2nd cousin. There are many more individuals listed of whom I have no sharable information. That is disconcerting because at seventy-two I wonder if family ties can or will ever connect.

Share what you know about the names you recognize.

For the moment, grab a map, some post-it arrows, and find:

Although not listed this year, I flipped the page and found:

Finally, note the Births:

Mr. & Mrs. Robert Stevens, a daughter July 31, 1956, Debbie Jean

Mr. & Mrs. Charles Potts, a son November 5, 1955, Mrs. Hazel Maynard & Melvin Maynard

These offspring could still be alive, likely in your proverbial backyards.

Funds on hand after expenses $9.71.
